must measure" to improve cattle. We began performance gain testing our bulls in 1979. We were one of the first ranches to participate in Texas A&M's Ranch to Rail program. We
continue to participate in ranch to rail programs and heifer development programs. |
We keep extensive data on our cattle, measuring rate of gain, calving intervals, maternal traits, ribeye measurements, and
intermuscular fat.Like King Ranch, we require B5 protein tests on all his senior herd sires to ensure top fertility of our cattle. We use performance data and years of experience
to decide which cattle to breed and cull. |
